Hi, I’m Terry Grahl,
I’m the Founder, Visionary, and CEO of Enchanted Makeovers.
I am an experienced speaker who LOVES to share my work with the wider community. I regularly speak in person at schools, organizations, churches or events, as well as TV, podcasts and radio interviews. Would you like to interview me or have me speak?
Please contact enchantedmakeovers@comcast.net.
Terry’s Bio
Terry Grahl is the Founder, Visionary and CEO of Enchanted Makeovers. Terry is on a mission to not only bring women and children in long-term shelters dignity, but also to inspire everyone to dream while they are awake, follow their heart and find their voice. At Enchanted Makeovers, Terry leads the team which transform long term shelter facilities into a place of peace and possibility by providing sacred sewing rooms, bedroom transformations and delivering our handmade projects made by the community such as, Capes for Kids, The Doll Adoption program and The Traveling Pillowcase project.
Terry is also a wife, mother to four wonderful adult children, a storyteller, a person who went through homelessness as a child and a flea market fanatic who loves to rescue grandmas old treasures and use them for a greater purpose.
What I have to share
I will inspire your audience to think differently, speak differently, look at their own lives, go internally, really assess things and ultimately realize that we are all connected and equal. We are all struggling. We all need to heal, so that we have deep empathy and awareness for all the members of our community.
My story
My story is about hope. I experienced homelessness as a child, so it’s amazing how my life has gone full-circle to where I now help women and children in shelters, escaping homelessness. I love sharing my personal story from childhood to accidentally discovering my passion for helping transform shelters, to taking Enchanted Makeovers to where it is today.
Changing the way we serve
I’m creating a movement of changing the way companies and individuals volunteer with other non-profits. In a lot of situations, the non-profit has you box up canned foods and clean up shelter grounds. There is no human contact. That’s sad. I believe we need to bring humanity into the way we serve. We need to have people working side-by-side. We need to have people seeing the impact they are making and interacting with the women and children in the shelters so they can change the way they see the members of their community. When volunteers come to us they get human contact. Even among other volunteers.
