Sowing an Eternal Garden at Vista Maria
Turning the soil, planting the seeds, weeding, nurturing and harvesting—a well tended garden creates abundance for many to share and savor. Everyone has a garden within their heart. When we tend to this garden the abundance that life offers emerges and is shared with others. Tending your garden feeds the hearts, hopes and homes of many.
This year’s Vision Project has been the catalyst for the talents of many to emerge and be shared with girls who need to see a glimpse of abundance, including the abundance of a garden.
The opportunity to have an actual garden at Vista Maria came somewhat unexpectedly, leaving us searching for an attendant. But God already had several women in mind. Among these was Kristi Grahl, a local mom, writer and gardener, who had been praying for a ministry working with children and teens. When she heard about the garden at Vista Maria, she felt God leading her to get involved.
Enchanted Makeovers’ mission is about tending to everyone’s hopes and dreams, including our sponsors and volunteers. To teach and share one’s craft is to master one’s craft.
