Cre8tive Sisterhood It all started in 2004 when Katrina hit- Adrienne VanDoreen -a faux finisher from the DC area, purchased a house and invited other artists from around the country to come and do finishes in the house. The project would be made into a book ( The House that Faux Built)and the proceeds would be sent to New Orleans Habitat to help build a house for a Katrina victim. After 4 years, enough money was raised and this year the house was built. 12 faux finishers spent a week in Nov in New Orleans to meet the family the house was built for and make it special by doing finishes for them. These 12 gals hadn't known each other before, but bonded so well during the week that they set the intention to work together every year on a project that would give back to others.
