Finally you've come to visit. I know you can't stay.
Still, the time we have together I will cherish like I
have all the other times.

I have seen you on and off throughout my life and I
have vivid memories of it. You made me laugh and
have vivid memories of it. You made me laugh and
thrilled my heart at the very thought of you coming
to stay for awhile.
When I was just a kid I begged for you, even prayed
that I would see you there when I awoke.

You rarely let me down.
How funny it is that even at 59 I'm still dazzled by you.
I know you are not just here for me. You never were.
I'm ok with that. Sometimes the best times in life are
those shared with others. I guess I have learned to
get even more from you by watching how others react
when they see you.

gently and wait patiently for just the right moment.

That is what I love about you.
I know not everyone appreciates you. They are too
much in a hurry and have little time for you. Perhaps they
need to remember you like I do. Maybe they simply
grew up too quickly...not me! You had been so much
a part of my life as a child. You can't imagine how
thrilled I was to share you with my own children. I still
have videos and pictures of all of us playing together.

I will admit that as I grow older I see another side of you.
After all this time, after all the fun we had together, I rejoice
in your arrival for a different reason.
